The rich set of components of the Network Centric Data Communication Platform JASMINE on the days 8-24 of June has been successfully and in a wide scope used and tested in NATO CIWIX 2015 exercise. It passed all tests. In the exercise the following components: HMS JASMINE (including software module HMS C3IS JASMINE), BMS JASMINE (including VIS JASMINE and software module BMS C3IS JASMINE), CID JASMINE, JASMINE Web Portal, IEG JASMINE, DSS JASMINE (including software module DSS C3IS JASMINE) and TELDAT Tactical Terminals were used.
The above mentioned solutions of the JASMINE platform have been tested in the following areas:
- Operational under the operational scenario at brigade and battalion level where the systems from other several countries took part, including HMS JASMINE, Web Portal JASMINE and BMS JASMINE.
We can state with a pleasure as follows.
W kontekście powyższego z przyjemnością stwierdzamy, iż:
- HMS JASMINE was a key element of the operational scenario which integrated the brigade systems in division in the scope of data transformation between the blocks of MIP. The system as only one had a capability to integrate other systems which have not been compatible in the framework of the MIP Program. The system moreover:
- successfully collaborated with the system integrator JASMINE Web Portal with special emphasis on the integration with C3IS JASMINE (especially its software module HMS C3IS JASMINE), which is the one of the main software components of the JASMINE,
- successfully integrated subordinated systems, including Polish solutions;
- BMS JASMINE again as only one in the exercise was mounted on the vehicle board and was operating at long distances as mobile element of the system.
- Functional – where once again the HMS JASMINE, BMS JASMINE and CID JASMINE have successfully been subjected to the interoperability tests, especially the standards implemented in its set of services : MIP B2, MIP B3.1 (including transformation B2↔B3), NFFI (IP1, IP2), FFI (IP1, IP2), ADatP 3, NVG 1.5, Link16 - JREAP C, Link 16 - SIMPLE, VMF, HLA, ADEM, OTH GOLD and Link 11B – SIMPLE, with air, land and navy systems (including solution working in the Polish armed forces, e.g. PAF-Link16). In this context we would emphasize:
- In the scope of mentioned exercises new implemented standards: OTH-GOLD, Link 11B – SIMPLE and ADEM were tested. This standards significantly expand possibilities of C3IS JASMINE;
- positive verify of IEG JASMINE in the scope of exchange of information about the location of own troops FFT (Friendly Force Tracking) in order to verify protect the exchange of information between the zones with different levels of security was done;
- BMS JASMINE one more time successfully, reliably and perfectly realized the all tasks, mainly during the FFT scenario, especially related to friendly forces tracking, which was making under the supervision of NCIA (NATO Communications and Information Agency);
- Within the successful tests of the Combat IDentification Server CID JASMINE, made check the newly introduced improvements, positively werifying possibilities of communication with the fighters pilots, with the use of Link 16 protocol using the Chat mechanism;
- Once again confirmed the ability to integration of C3IS JASMINE with the simulation systems, including operating in the Polish Armed Forces (e.g. JCATS or the latest version of Virtual Battlefield system VBS3 – Virtual BattleSpace 3), which shows possibility of practical use of mentioned solution also during the command-post exercises.
- Mobile – as it was mentioned earlier the BMS JASMINE and DSS JASMINE have been intensively used together with tactical terminals. It was the only solution used in the exercise in mobile operations since 2012. The capability of cooperation of the system with UAV, simulation and training systems and soldiers has been confirmed once again.
The all hardware and software components which have been used in NATO CWIX 2015 once again confirmed that the functionalities and capabilities of the system are identified with the aims of interoperability and network capabilities of Polish Armed Forces. It could not be possible – what should be strongly emphasized – without full unification of components and technological solutions of JASMINE. It was once again practically demonstrated and examined in the exercise. This exercise also clearly demonstrated that thanks to the the construction of components, comprehensive and the wide spectrum of features JASMINE is the only Polish System of the Systems.
