C3IS JASMINE - software / Multidomain Combat Management System of Systems dedicated to all command echelons and combat operations


C3IS JASMINE is an automatic and comprehensive software solution – C3I network centric system dedicated to all command echelons from operational down to dismounted soldier. The innovative and primary feature of this product is that it consists of wide range of ready to implement solutions (subsystems) based on the versatile Set of Services which directly fits to the requirements of the Polish and other armed forces. C3I JASMINE system is a basic software component of the Network Centric Data Communication Platform JASMINE as well as the only Polish, dynamically developed and unique combat management system dedicated to all command echelons. This solution ranks with the C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) class systems. The development of this high specialized software has contributed to the significant progress of C2 systems also in alliance dimension. It allowed to place Poland in this area at the forefront of NATO countries what earlier has never happened. The solution can be also used autonomously.

C3IS JASMINE makes available at the battlefield many modern and helpful functionalities (earlier technologically inaccessible). The most important are the following:

  • Significant support of command structures and combat operations from operational echelon down to dismounted soldier and cooperation between them;
  • significant increase of situational awareness that allows to achieve an information superiority;
  • efficient distribution of information about threats;
  • Friendly Force Tracking;
  • Common Operational Picture and collaboration with other systems to perform COP (mainly JASMINE Web Portal);
  • NATO interoperability;
  • current tactical situation picture and BLUE FORCE TRACKING using NFFI (NATO Friendly Force Information - STANAG 5527) and FFI (Friendly Force Identification), HUB capability;
  • automatic operational data exchange;
  • mission planning, visualization (according to APP-6A/B, MIL 2525B, MIP Implementation Rules) and full support for plans and orders according to STANAG 2014;
  • sending reports and managing a daily log book, e.g. battle;
  • easy input of data - objects and tactical symbols using joystick and touchable interface;
  • analysis of terrain situation, also using 3D visualization;

  • support/cooperation of fire targeting systems and air defense systems;
  • cooperation with training/simulation systems (JCATS, VBS2/VBS3) with the application of HLA (High Level Architecture);
  • management of orders, reports, templates of documents, teaming work, control of information flow;
  • automatic aggregation of information on subordinate troops;
  • archiving of data including geographical layers and voice messages. This allows to accurately reproduce the course of events during the action and define their actual factography;
  • secure data exchange with the application of national (customer) encryption;
  • encrypted data, voice and image transmission;
  • storage of operational data in a JC3IEDM database of the model of the MIP program;
  • data replication of MIP programme by the app of BRM (Battle Replication Mechanism) at tactical level in radio communication;
  • data transformation between models C2IEDM and JC3IEDM - MIP (version 2, 3 & 3.1);
  • message exchange align with standards MIP MEM B2 & B3, ADatP-3 (version 11C/F, 12.2, 13.1 & 14), OTH-GOLD, Link 11B, Link 16 (JREAP C and SIMPLE) and also VMF (Variable Message Format);
  • bilateral data conversion between ADatP-3 and MIP Data Base;
  • communication with JCOP and NCOP systems using NVG 1.4, 1.5 and JIPS 0.5, 0.6;
  • communication with soldiers by app NATO JDSS (Joint Dismounted Soldier System);
  • support for e-mail service in client software version;
  • integration with TELDAT Battlefield Directory services STANAG 4644;
  • access to the operational data and HMS C3IS JASMINE system also by the WEB application (JASMINE Web Portal);
  • application of vector topographic underlays distributed in VPF SHP technology and raster topographic underlays in CADRG, ECW, MrSID, GeoTIFF and JPEG technologies and maps of DTED terrain model;
  • management of topographic underlays distributed with the WMS (Web Map Service) and WFS (Web Feature Service) technologies;
  • simple - fully automatic, intuitive installation and configuration of all elements (hardware and software) HMS JASMINE using JASMINE Modules Management software;
  • integration and monitoring of on-board equipment of a vehicle, ship, aircraft, soldier outfit (communication media, sensors, effectors, end-user equipment);
  • Windows 8 operating system and its earlier versions.

C3IS JASMINE was designed according to the Service Oriented Architecture concept and has fully unified and comprehensive set of services that ensures its scalability and modular structure. The functionalities of this high specialized set of services that the offered system incorporates many Software Modules including as follows:

Moreover C3IS JASMINE has a wide scope of additional, innovative and very useful components/products and functionalities that depending on the needs can expand the capabilities of the basic Software Modules. In the most cases they can operate autonomously.


The important value of the system is it has especially designed a mobile hardware, dedicated to its basic software modules - HMS C3IS JASMINE, BMS C3IS JASMINE, DSS C3IS JASMINE, JFSS C3IS JASMINE. The integration of the specialized hardware and software makes completed and unified functional systems as follows: HMS JASMINE (equipped with ICT node of operational-tactical echelon), BMS JASMINE (equipped with ICT on-board node), DSS JASMINE (equipped with ICT personal soldier node) and JFSS JASMINE.

 C3IS JASMINE consists of server and client software which are dedicated to end users of all JASMINE system versions.

C3IS JASMINE is very well assessed by experts and users in Poland and abroad including NATO countries. The system has been heavily used and technologically and functionally developed for many years. It has also passed an enormous number reliable tests in Polish Armed Forces, NATO and Polish laboratories as well as during national and international exercises. In many cases C3IS JASMINE has featured as the only Polish system integrating the other countries C2 systems and was a reference system.

C3IS JASMINE over many years is used in R&D activities in Polish military universities such as War Studies University, C2 Training Center.

The C3IS JASMINE advantages and innovative capabilities are confirmed by numerous documents as follows:

  • Certifications and Confirmations of Interoperability issued by NATO C3 Agency (currently NCI – NATO Communication and Information Agency);

  • Confirmation of Interoperability issued in Multilateral Interoperabilty Programme;

  • Confirmation of Referentiality issued by Polish Ministry of Defence for HMS, BMS, DSS software modules;
