TELDAT presents its experience in disaster management at the UN

The UN’s work on global disaster risk reduction is centred around the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) and its efforts to implement the Sendai Framework 2015-2030.

This is a global agreement to reduce the risk of disasters and losses, adopted in 2015 at the 3rd UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan. It is a blueprint for building safer and more resilient communities. It works in conjunction with other agreements of the 2030 Agenda, such as the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the Sustainable Development Goals.

This agreement is followed by the regular Global Platforms for Disaster Risk Reduction. This year’s 8th edition took place in Geneva from 2 to 6 June. During the event, a representative of our company discussed the experiences and conclusions from last year's flood in southern Poland, including the use of the Multi-Level Automated Crisis Management System JASMINE, during the Early Warning for All (EW4All) panel.

The presented main functionalities of the system developed by TELDAT were met with great interest by the representatives from all over the world present at the panel and contributed to numerous discussions about our solution. Participation in the international platform was an inspiring experience for us, allowing us to confront many ideas and the direction of development of the JASMINE CMS, in the light of the dynamically changing geopolitical and climatic situation.
